[Box stretcher chair] [realia]. 1630-1660.

Box stretcher chair bought by Rose Grainger for use in their London home. Ball and ring pattern on the legs, turned front stretcher. The back support is a panel with a simple carved design of a fern. The base is square while the back support is slightly reclining. Some past evidence of restoration.
